Communications Officer
The Foundation is seeking a communications officer to work with the Coverage Team. Americans' lack of meaningful access to affordable and stable health care coverage has been a central concern of the Foundation since its inception 35 years ago. The overarching goal of the Coverage Team is to ensure that everyone in America has affordable and stable health care coverage. Communications officers are professional staff responsible for creating, developing, implementing and managing communications for and about the Foundation's initiatives to improve the health and health care of all Americans. Communications Associate
Reporting directly to the communications officers/senior communications officers with a matrix reporting relationship to the deputy director of Communications and the leader of the program team(s) to which they are assigned, the communications associate will assist in the development, implementation, management, evaluation and monitoring of communications plans and projects involving dissemination, media relations, public relations, branding, social marketing and other communications activities. Offered salary will commensurate with experience.
Senior Financial Analyst
Reporting directly to the director of the Financial Monitoring Office, the senior financial analyst will perform varying levels of organizational/financial assessment on a pool of 800+ applications annually using available public information, including financial audits, Form 990 tax filings and other data. This position is a two-year renewable term appointment. Offered salary will commensurate with experience.
Program Launch Specialist
Reporting directly to the director, National Program Affairs (NPA), the program launch specialist (PLS) will facilitate and support the work of the department by assisting in implementing various projects of the department. The PLS is primarily responsible for grant proposal solicitation and review work, liaison with other departments of the Foundation to facilitate coordination of work, and assist with overall operations of the department. This position is a two-year renewable term appointment. Offered salary will commensurate with experience.
Program Associate
Reporting directly to the senior adviser for Nursing, the program associate will assist in the effective facilitation of the team conducting project and related research; working with key experts to fulfill the team's objectives; assisting in the design and implementation of new initiatives; and overseeing programs and grants. As with staff at all levels of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, program associates are expected to demonstrate a passionate commitment to the Foundation's mission of improving health and health care for all Americans and to the guiding principles and promise that support that mission. Program Administrative Assistant
Reporting directly to the senior adviser for Nursing, the program administrative assistant will support staff by (1) assisting staff in carrying out administrative and program-related duties; (2) providing administrative support for program staff as needed; and (3) maintaining a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of designated program staff. The Foundation is seeking a senior program officer to work with the Vulnerable Populations Portfolio. This team, which oversees some of the Foundation's most exciting and inspiring work, seeks new ideas and partners from outside the health sector to affect immediate and lasting improvements in the health of our society's most vulnerable people. This portfolio addresses how complex social factors, poverty, education and housing, affect people's health, and develops solutions within that context. This approach allows us to address long-standing problems using unconventional approaches that start at the individual and community level, but have potential for national impact. Program Service Center Manager, Customer Service
Reporting directly to the senior manager, Program Service Center, the manager will be responsible for managing and developing program and other administrative assistant staff assigned to the PSC who provide customer service support to the Communications and Research and Evaluation departments. Responsibilities include leading operations and resources in providing internal and external customer service. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Assistant Vice President, Research and Evaluation
The Foundation is seeking an assistant vice president to work with the Research and Evaluation Department. Program evaluations and research projects are cornerstones of the Foundation's efforts to learn from its work. In any given year, RWJF conducts between 30 to 40 active program evaluations. The assistant vice president will serve as a thought and strategic partner to the vice president and act to mentor and coach other members of the Research and Evaluation Unit. Working with the vice president, they will also consult with programs to facilitate thinking and encourage a culture of practical implementation and learning. Salary commensurate with experience. Program Officer/Senior Program Officer
Reporting directly to the vice president, Research and Evaluation (R&E) with a matrix reporting relationship to their team leader(s) and the deputy director, R&E, the program officer/senior program officer will be responsible for creating, developing, implementing and managing the research and evaluation aspects of the Foundation's initiatives to improve health and health care. The primary responsibility of this position is to work with the Vulnerable Populations Team to implement evaluation strategies that generate impact congruent with the specific objectives of that team and the Foundation. The Vulnerable Population Team seeks solutions to problems at the intersection of health and social issues. Also, they are responsible for the development and management of performance measurement systems, the creation and maintenance of a Web based research center to better organize, synthesize, and disseminate findings from research, evaluation and policy investments. As with staff at all levels of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, program officers/senior program officers in Research and Evaluation are expected to demonstrate a passionate commitment to the Foundation's mission of improving health and health care for all Americans and to the guiding principles and promise that undergird that mission.
